This hut-circle lies on a peat-covered terrace in the lea of a low rise to the S. It measures 7.3m in diameter within a bank 2m in thickness and up to 0.5m in height. A few stones protrude along the line of the bank, and there is an entrance on the E. Immediately to the NNE, a subrectangular spread of boulders may be all that now survives of a hut measuring 4m from NE to SW by 3m overall. The boulders have probably been removed from a stretch of orthostatic wall that extends NE from the terrace for a distance of at least 70m. Although not visible to the SW, its projected course would meet another extending up on to Cnoc Loisgte from the gully to the W (Glac na Criche Deise), which can be followed for a dsitance of at least 400m, and probably connected with another wall climbing out of the gully 300m to the S of the hut-circle. Another wall forming a junction with the main wall can be seen 130m WNW of the hut-circle. Together these boundaries suggest that large areas around the hut-circle have been enclosed before the ground was blanketed in peat.
(Canna 983-4).
