These two huts and two stony mounds, the latter probably also the remains of small huts, lie within an area of lazy-bed cultivation and field clearance (NG20NE 109.05). The best-preserved hut is rectangular on plan and measures 1.4m from ESE to WNW by 1.2m transversely within drystone rubble walls 0.7m in thickness and still standing up to 1m in height. It has an entrance in its ESE end. The second hut (NG 2638 0559) lies 7m to the SE and is subrectangular, measuring 2m from E to W by 1.3m within a spread stony bank. The two stony mounds (NG 2636 0556 and NG 2643 0559) lie some 40m to the SSW and 58m to the ESE respectively.
(Canna 749-50, 787-88).
