Two grass-grown stony mounds are situated below Cnoc Mor on the W side of Allt Gheodrain. The larger is depicted on the 1975 edition of the OS 1:10,000 map and is annotated as a shieling. It lies on the line of a field bank that extends SE from the base of Cnoc Mor, and, although a lot of stones are visible in the body of the mound, no structural detail is visible. Oval on plan, with a dished top, it measures 8m from NW to SE by 6.8m and 0.8m in height. The second mound, which lies about 22m to the SW at the foot of Cnoc Mor, is subrectangular and measures 4m from NNW to SSE by 3.7m.
A further oval mound (NG 2590 0589) lies on the E side of Allt Gheodrain, some 60m to NNW of the larger, NE mound. This is covered by peat and measures 7.4m from NNW to SSE by 6.8m.
(Canna 800-2).
Visited by RCAHMS (ARG), 9 April 1995.
