What may be the remains of a small hut, comprising little more than a scatter of stones protruding through the turf, lie on a low rise on a peat-covered terrace to the NE of Cnoc Rugail . Oval on plan, it measures 4.7m from NNW to SSE by 3.5m.
Four other oval mounds are visible in the surrounding area and they too are situated on low rises. They range in size from 4.5m by 4m to 7.8m by 4.8m and are no more than 0.3m in height. Although three contain several large stones, they may simply be natural features.
(Canna 417-20, 977).
Visited by RCAHMS (SPH, ARG), 6 April 1995.
