This large mound is situated on the edge of a terrace overlooking a small plot of lazy-bed cultivation (NG20NW 129.02) and contains the vestiges of at least four overlying structures and one hut. The mound measures 11m from E to W by 7m and 0.6m in height. The structures are all subectangular on plan, the largest being the best defined and measuring 5m by 4.5m within a faced wall 1.1m in thickness and 0.4m in height. Of the three remaining structures, two survive only as shallow depressions with stones protruding around their edges. The rectangular hut overlies the SE edge of the mound and measures 2.2m by 1.9m within a faced wall 1m in thickness and 0.4m in height. The current edition of the OS 1:10,000 map depicts an enclosure at this location.
(Canna 582-6, 999).
Visited by RCAHMS (IF, ARG), 5 April 1995.
