This dam runs from NE to SW across the gully of the Pitmain Burn. It has been breached in the middle to reveal a core of large stones, and there is an overflow channel leading off to the S. The dam measures about 19m in length by about 6.5m in thickness at its base, and narrows as it rises towards the top at a height of 2m.
