The footings of at least nineteen shieling-huts are scattered across a grass- and heather-covered terrace on the W bank of the Allt na Beinne. Except for two rectangular examples (KING95 405, 486), all the huts are subrectangular, measuring between 2.5m by 2.1m and 6.4m by 2.5m internally. The footings of three huts (KING95 487-7, 500) are entirely of stone, while six (KING95 414, 488-90, 501, 503) have been turf built. A further eight huts (KING95 406-12, 498) incorporate turf and stone, possibly turf on stone footings. Where the position of the entrance is clearly visible, it is in a side wall; one hut (KING95 405) appears to have opposed entrances. There are small outshots on two of the huts (KING95 410, 501) the latter also features an adjacent enclosure. One hut (KING95 487) overlies the remains of an earlier structure.
This site is shown on a map of 1771 (SRO RHP 1835) as a shieling-ground.
