Seven discrete clusters of shieling-huts are disposed across the upper reaches of the valley of the Allt Mor. The majority of the thirty-two shieling-huts are subrectangular and range from 2.7m by 1.7m (KING95 689) to 8.7m by 2.2m (KING95 545) in size internally. The footings are a mix of turf, turf-and-stone, and faced rubble. There is a general correspondence between the locations of structures shown on a plan of 1771 (SRO RHP 1835) and the clusters of shieling-huts identified on the ground.
