There is a group of at least nineteen huts in Gleann Lochain, about 1.5km NW of Dail na Seilg. About half of the huts are situated close to the Allt an Lochain Duibh and the others are spread up the heather-covered hillside above the N bank of the burn, to either side of the trackway which runs up the glen. Apart from two which are oval (KING95 45-6) and one with rounded ends (KING95 41), the huts are generally subrectangular, and most of them have walls reduced to spread stony banks up to 0.4m high; in four cases, however, the walls appear to have been built largely of turf (KING95 30, 32, 41 and 47). With one exception the huts measure internally between 3.5m and 6.1m in length and between 1.7m and 3m in breadth; the exception (KING95 44) measures 8.3m by 2.6m internally and also has a wing or outshot projecting from the centre of its NE side. Low mounds situated outside the entrances to four huts (KING95 30, 31, 36, 39) are probably midden heaps.
