The North of Scotland Archaeological Society (NOSAS) visited this site 3rd May 2019. Research and evaluation by Roland Spencer-Jones;
The archaeological remains are probably both the (Milton) castle remains and an icehouse, ie an older structure re-used as an ice-house. <1> (see MHG8623 for castle).
The feature is visible on SEPA LiDAR data. <2>
