Full Description

On high ground to the southeast of the Torr and north of the continuation of the track through the glen south of the Torr, there are a series of remains consisiting of low mounds that indicate the past existance of oval or subrectangular shelters. These are probably the remains of shieling shelters and indicate that the site of Port a' Bhata was used for summer grazing before becoming a township.
