Full Description

Ist ed shows that Tulloch Castle had a very large planned landscape laid out around it. To the E the belt of trees surrounded mains buildings and a range of large walled gardens, kennels etc (NH56SW0025). To the SW a long formal avenue to the S of the castle, plus another to the W from just S of the castle, large belts of trees and other single plantings and clumps/ It appearsthat were a series of woodland walks and there are small buildings that might be associated. To the N of the castle seems to be less formal some narrow belts, a pheasantry and possible large plantings on higher ground.
Some of the area has been built over by Dingwall growth, but one area (to SW of the castle) may be intact but subject to p/a 04/00377/FULRC - HAW 4/2004
