Full Description
Following site visit to record identify bones from trenches, local people reported that human remains had previously been found in the village when telephone put in in the 1930s. These may have been reported in the Northern Times. Allegedly the bones were kept on a local mantlepiece for many years (house now empty and bones presumably gone). GR given to site pointed out as area of discovery (ie on the west of the road) - HAW 12/2003
