Full Description
"The Dogs" marked on both 1st & 2nd ed OS. On 1st edition they appear as two small circular features; two shaded dark features are shown on the 2nd edition. The current path curves around these features to the east. The name is still used locally.
Doug scott refers to the standing stone (ND12NW0013) to the north-west as "the Shepherd and his dogs". These two features may therefore be the remains of similar stones. Needs checking. HAW 7/2004
