Full Description
It is notable that the old church site in Thurso does not lie on the highest point of land in the area, but instead lies beside it. It is therefore extremely possible that there was another major structure here - ie castle/defensive site for example. Area now covered by relatively modern small housing and open land, but possibly a few buildings on extremities are older - HAW 7/2003
