Full Description
The 1st edition Ordnance Survey map (of c. 1870) shows two rectilinear structures at this location - presumably a house with an associated byre . The buildings are not named. The 2nd edition OS depicts alterations to the layout of these buildings and enclosures, wih the presumed byre being rebuilt to the north-west. A well is located to the east of the house and a small structure has been built on the northern side of the road. Current OS mapping shows the footprint of the later byre and enclosures and depicts the house as 'Comraich'.
A planning application to extend the house required the provision of a photographic record. A series of photographs was taken prior to the start of the development. The Photographs were taken by the house-owner and are held in Assoc. Docs.
