Full Description

Large bank/walls leading NW from the broch site at Applecross. According to local reports this used to lead as far as the beach. Marked on 1st edition Ordnance Survey map as a narrow wooded property. Trees now gone. On the ground, it appears as two large tumbled wall lines. According to local reports, the NE side once had a substantial ditch. There are the remains of possible walls leading off from the bank at right angles. Trenches for electricity cable on the south side of the feature revealed nothing comparable - HAW 5/2003
