Full Description
GR estimated from description. Mr Ross while visiting SMR 30/4/2003 reported that building foundations were visible when trenches were cut for spotlighting the jail etc earlier in 2003. He reported that he took a photo before leaving. Buildings in this area would lie within the castle complex that stretched as far N as the Cathedral yard - HAW 5/2003
Area in front has been repaved & edged the lights referred to have been countersunk into pavement (3?). No way of checking what was uncovered in field. GR correct - HAW 5/2003
