Full Description
A mound was identified in November 2001 during a survey for Scottish Woodlands close to Lochan Dubh. The mound lies on the north bank of a stream running from Lochan Dubh to Loch Bad an t-Sean-tighe. The mound measures 11m east to west by 8m north to south and was roughly kidney-shaped in plan, with a waterlogged hollow in its centre. A sheep scrape had exposed layers of dark soil with visible particles of charcoal, but few stones.
