Full Description
Phone call 23/06/2004: received HLF funding for repairs to mill and for improved access. Reported the discovery of 7 varying size mill stones in the brook, several of which will be re-set to form stepping stones across, the others to be displayed. The race can be simply cleared by removing loose stones. The wall of the mill will be taken down where it has a dangerous bulge and rebuiilt (HAW suggested photos taken before and after to form archive deeposited with SMR) and then the wall will be topped with larger cross stones. The wall over the outlet is also in need of supports in case of collapse. Suggested that these are metal and not fixed (so reversible) - HAW 6/2004
