Full Description

An oval enclosure and stony mound are situated at the leading edge of a terrace towards the eastern edge of the ridged land of Trumpan Beg. The enclosure is defined by orthostats protruding through at least 0.2m of peat which has been ridged. Probing suggested that the bank was more substantial below the peat. On the W side of the enclosure there is an oval mound which measures 11m from N to S by 8m transversely and 1m in height. Although much of the mound is incoherent, there may be traces of small structures or huts on it, and around the perimeter intermittent upright earthfast boulders are visible. The stony mound and orthostatic enclosure are similar to NG25SE 8.01 and 8.11.
