Full Description

NG34SW 6 313 440.

(NG 313 440) About 300 feet above sea level, by the Allt Airidh Dhonachaidh, is a group of 10 ruined sheilings. Seven are of the twin-cell type, and two are single-celled, whilst one has three cells (Visible on RAF air photographs CPE/Scot/UK/175: 2159-60).
All are now reduced to turf-covered mounds, some showing circular depressions in the tops, few showing any stone. There are traces of what may be further shielings, on the river banks, partly destroyed by erosion.
Visited by OS (A S P) 17 May 1961.

The features are visible in vertical aerial photography. <1>
