Full Description

Report 19 (site 10) - Archaeological Survey of a proposed Hydro Scheme at Loch Poll, Assynt, Sutherland. C Dagg, 01/12/98
J Aitken : 31/01/03

Site 10: Following the burn NW from Loch na Loinne to join the dyke, (site 12) 20m SW of that dyke's northernmost point. At the shore, an enclosure is formed by 2 rough stone and turf walls linking the dyke to the crags to the east of the burn, before the dyke itself curves to meet the crags just before the water's edge. The enclosure measures approximately 11m. By 8.5m. The land is low lying and the enclosure walls probably do not reach 2m above present water levels. <1>
