Full Description
Goirtean Forlaich (the field of the pass, the reference is to a toll gate). This is an early site and is perhaps one of the place names referred to in the 1509 charter which is no longer identifiable. It comprises the footings of several low rectangular buildings, runrig, field clearance as well as numerous stone and turf field walls and is associated with the old drove road, still visible in places, which runs from Kingairloch to the head of Glen Dubh, which ultimately leads west to Lochaline and the Sound of Mull.
