Full Description
Marked on OS map as an enclosure this is almost certainly a stone walled roundhouse. Oval in plan it measures 12m by 9m internally with (?later) entrances 2m wide at N and 3m wide at the S. Aligned NNW/SSE with stone and turf walls 1m by 0.2m high internally and up to 1m high externally on the SW. 20m NW of site above is a dish-shaped hollow with birch growing in interior and on the bank. Less well-defined than above (because of bracken) this also is aligned NNW/SSE and measures 12m by 9m internally. Entrance ?2m wide on SE. Walls also turf/earth and stone but broadly spread.
