Full Description
Raasay Survey 2000. Site 47: On a circular platform in a rather swampy gully about 200m to the southwest of the Torran to Fladda track, are the turf and moss covered remains of a rectangular building. What is probably only the foundation layer remains and where walls can be identified through the turf these are 5.0m north-south and 3.30m east-west. The walls are about 1.0m thick with a little stone visible. There is no indication of the location of an entrance. Any evidence of cultivation nearby, if it ever existed, has long disappeared into the swamp. <1>
