Full Description
Raasay Survey 2000. Site 44: An area of attempted improvement, delineated by a degraded low dyke, lies close to a small shieling hut in a shallow gully surrounded by birch wood about 50m to the west of the Torran to Umachan track, on the north bank of the Mt an Easain Dhuibh. The shelling structure is roughly circular measuring 1.50m by 1.10m and standing to a height of 0.50m. Covered with moss, it is built of large stones and has an entrance in the northeast. <1>
