Full Description

An archaeological walkover survey of a single, distinct area of proposed planting of natural woodland regeneration was carried by M. Wildgoose at Coille an Torran, Raasay in 1999.

Site 10: Built against the foot of a small rocky outcrop, on the north side of the Allt an Easain Dhuibh, is a ruinous, half-circular pen. It measures 2.0m long by 1.5m deep. There is no obvious entrance. <1>

Raasay Survey 2000. Site 37: At the foot of a rocky scarp on the north edge of the Alit an Easain Dhuibh is a degraded, roughly semi-circular pen measuring 2.0m by 1.50m internally with no obvious entrance. <2>
