Full Description
An archaeological walkover survey of a single, distinct area of proposed planting of natural woodland regeneration was carried by M. Wildgoose at Coille an Torran, Raasay in 1999.
Site 9: Built against the foot of a small rocky outcrop, on the north side of the Allt an Easain Dhuibh, is a ruinous, half-circular pen. It measures 2.0m long by 1.5m deep. There is no obvious entrance. <1>
Raasay Survey 2000. Site 34: Situated about 250m to the northeast of Site 33 is a similar more ruinous structure overlooking Loch nan Dubhan. A small semi-circular pen measuring 3.0m long by 2.0m deep externally has been built against the cliff face. <2>
