Full Description

Raasay Survey 2000. Site 12: To the north of the sheep fank, under an overhanging cliff, is a small circular structure, 2.50m diameter externally. The southern half is very well built with a well formed curved wall standing four courses high. An entrance on the west is 0.50m wide. The north wall is rougher, utilising fallen blocks of stone. Two substantial cuboid stones have fallen from the overhang into the east of the structure, filling about half the interior. The good standard of build and size gives the structure the appearance of a kiln but it may be a shelter or store. <1>
