Full Description
Two buildings within an enclosure are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map, (Caithness, 1877, sheet vi), to the E of the summit of Couper Hill. They are recorded in the OS Name Book as 'a shepherds residence formerly a small croft' (ONB 1872).
