Full Description
ND13SE 113 1552 3298
This heather-covered cairn is situated 210m SW of the chambered cairn ND13SE 1 and 50m W of a track that extends from SE to NW up the hill from the Burn of Houstry. Measuring 13m in diameter and up to 1m in height, the cairn has been severely disturbed by the removal of stone from a wedge-shaped quarry-pit into its W segment; what may be a small pen, measuring 1.7m by 1.1m and 0.2m in depth, has been sunk into the E side of the cairn. At least one small cairn is visible in the peat and deep heather to the W.
