Full Description
Recorded by the Tain Archaeological Group in 1995: NH 7213 9854 Drystone dyke/land boundary. Over 150m. <1>
The feature is visible in vertical aerial photographs taken in 2016 and 2020. <2> <3>
A walkover survey and desk-based assessment was undertaken by A Coombs at Dalnamein for the Sutherland Longhouse Project, a community engagement project hosted by Historylinks Museum, Dornoch in 2019-20.
Probable head dyke extending from west at NH 71852 98438 and continuing along ridge to east finishing east of house 25. It then extends north to enclose the area named Innis Aonar. There are several secondary dykes lying E-W from the dyke. <4>
