A rapid walk-over survey of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme application at North Applecross, Wester Ross, was undertaken by C. Dagg in 1999.
Site no. A1: Shieling hut and storage structures. One rectangular building measuring 3m by 1.2m , aligned NE-SW, with a circular structure attached, measuring 2.6m in diameter. This structure has faced stones inside and rough rubble on the outside. SW of this by a few paces is another circular storage structure, and SSE by 18m are three more, two on the west bank of the burn and one on the east tucked behind a boulder. <1>
