NH 573 639. A burnt mound some 12m long and uncertain width has been disturbed by forestry ploughing.

A burnt mound was exposed during forestry ploughing at Blackhill, Foulis. The material consists of black charcoal-rich silt with angular fire-cracked stones. It is c. 12m long by an unknown width. It is sited close to a small burn that has now been canalised. Low stone walls are evident in the othe furrows, though they may belong to later agricultural improvements. A charcoal sample has been deposited with Inverness Museum.
