There are four turf-and-stone walled buildings in a large D-shaped enclosure at the S edge of the enclosed ground at West Langwell. They measure between 7.2m and 13.6m in length by between 2.2m and 3m in breadth within grassed-over walls which stand at most 0.3m high. The walls of three of the buildings contain at least some stone but an inspection of the numerous animal burrows in the fourth building (ROG95 777) revealed no stone there. The longest building (ROG95 778) appears to have been built over an earlier structure, part of which projects beyond its ENE end. This building also has a bedneuk on its NNW side, and there is another possible bedneuk on the WNW side of a second building (ROG95 499). The turf-banked enclosure around these buildings measures about 160m from NW to SE by 90m transversely. Neither the enclosure nor the buildings are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Sutherland 1879, sheet xcvi).
