This burnt mound is situated on flat, recently drained ground on the SW bank of the Abhainn Leataidh, just below its confluence with the unnamed burn that divides the townships of Caolas and Achadh a' Choirce (NC60NE 15 and 16). The mound is C-shaped, and measures 12m from NE to SW by 7.4m transversely and 1m in height, with a central hollow opening to the SE.
