Full Description
NC60NE 44 6597 0728
This burnt mound, covered with heather (recently burnt off) and grass, is situated on the N bank of the upper reaches of the Allt Achadh na Teanga. It is C-shaped, and measures 9.4m from NE to SW by 7.8m transversely and 0.6m in height. A dip on the SE side indicates the probable position of the trough. The removal of a divot confirmed that the mound was composed of charcoally soil and burnt stone fragments.
