Full Description

Two hut-circles and a scatter of small cairns are situated on the E flank of a ridge to the NW of Clashpeanan. The S hut-circle (ROG95 358, NC 7179 0469) measures 13.8m in diameter within a stony bank spread to 2.4m in thickness and 0.3m in height. The line of the bank bulges outwards slightly around the entrance, which is on the SE, and the interior is levelled into the gentle slope. The SW arc of bank cuts a stony mound, possibly a clearance cairn. The second hut-circle (ROG95 359, NC 7312 0184) is situated on a small terrace at the NE fringe of the small cairns and measures 8.9m in diameter within a boulder-faced bank 1.3m in thickness and 0.5m in height. The bank terminals expand to 4.3m in thickness on either side of the entrance, which is on the SE. A terrace, which extends S from the entrance, may have been a path. What may be the remains of a hut have been built against the exterior of the bank on the SW.
The small cairns (ROG95 1000), which measure up to 6m in diameter and 0.4m in height, are disposed across the relatively well-drained and sheltered terrace on the E side of the ridge.
