ND 169 618 A small amount of fieldwalking was undertaken on SW facing slopes at Stemster. On hills behind the fields is a series of seven chamber cairns. A non-discrete lithic scatter was discovered, mostly waste flakes but there are also two cores. Most of the material is flint. Half of a red ceramic spindle whorl was also found.
