Full Description

The crofter at Dremergid pointed out a hollow in the peat bog to the W of the croft house which had been a still in her (?great) grandmother's time. The hollow is roofed over with timbers and contains some rubbish, mainly tins and wire. The hollow lies at the SW end of an infilled drain which apparently brought water to the still. The worm is alleged to have been thrown into a lochan in the bog to the WSW or SW after a close call with the exciseman.
