This grass- and bracken-covered burnt mound is situated on the bottom of a steep-sided gully between a small watercourse and a township head-dyke (NC 70NW 4). It measures 4.5m in diameter and 0.5m in height, and lifting a sod revealed densely packed cracked stone and black soil.
