This C-shaped burnt mound is situated on a terrace and lies within a small stand of silver birch on the E bank of an unnamed burn. It measures 9m from N to S by 6m transversely and 0.6m in height, opening out to the W. The S arm of the mound is markedly larger than the other, and lifting a sod revealed cracked stone and charcoal set in a matrix of black soil. On the date of visit, the line of the burn ran to the E of that shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1970).
