A crofting township comprising fifty-three roofed buildings, one of which is a school and another is a long building, two partially roofed buildings, seventeen unroofed buildings and some field walls is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1882, sheet xxxv). Thirty-six roofed buildings, one of which is a church, two partially roofed buildings, forty-four unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968).
