A crofting township comprising forty-nine roofed, nine unroofed buildings, one of which is a long building of three compartments, their associated enclosures and field walls and two phases of head-dyke is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1879, sheet xxx). Twenty-nine roofed, one partially roofed, twenty unroofed buildings and the head-dykes are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1986).
