A crofting township, comprising eighty-four roofed buildings, one of which is a corn mill and one is a school, and fifteen unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1881, sheet xxi). One hundred roofed buildings, one of which is a school and twenty-four unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968).
