A township of five separate groups arranged around an area of improved ground on both sides of the Auchnahannet Burn, comprises twenty-three roofed buildings, four unroofed buildings, six enclosures and a field-system is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1874-5, sheet xxxiv). Twelve roofed buildings, ten enclosures and a large field-system are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1972).
