A cottage and an enclosed garden lie on a patch of level ground to the E of the Allt Ach a' Bhraighe. The two-compartment cottage, which is set into the slope on the NE and stands to its gables in height, measures 8.2m from NW to SE by 3.8m transversely within faced-rubble walls 0.6m thick and 1.7m high with an entrance in the SE end, subsequently protected by a large porch or extension, 3.4m long. The NW compartment is entered through the gabled partition that separates the two parts, and there are fireplaces in the NW gable and in either side of the partition. Both compartments are lit by windows on the SW. It is possible that the SE compartment is an addition, but the evidence for this was not conclusive. The garden, which lies to the SSW, has a bothy built on its NW corner.
The building, then roofed, and the enclosure are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Cromartyshire 1881, Sheet vii).

This building is described as a 'cotter's house' by Graham Douglas and consists of two rooms, both rubble built, the most westerly room being later and of better quality than its neighbour. There is a byre attached to this range. There is also an outhouse onto which a dry stone wall abutts at its NW and SE elevations. This wall enclosed a garden plot. The building was roofless and partly demolished on the date of visit.
