A township, comprising twelve roofed buildings including a large house by the shore, one partially roofed building and three unroofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch maps (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1880, sheet xiv and xv). Seven roofed, eleven unroofed buildings and one unroofed structure are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968).
