A crofting township, comprising twenty-seven roofed buildings, one of which is a mill (see NG47SW 11), another an inn, one partially roofed building and two unroofed buildings is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch maps (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1878, sheet iv). Seven roofed and eleven unroofed buildings are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1966).
